BIOGRAPHY....

Gary Mark has had a life-long love of 'magic' which was influenced by his dad whom was a magician. Initially, Gary performed for his family and friends when he was very young. His parents encouraged him and gave a lot of help throughout his early years. He particularly liked to perform illusion and card tricks.

 

During the 1970's, Gary developed his craft and skills and started to provide shows to a wider audience. Initially, he gave public and private performances as an amatuer and received a lot of praise and encouragement from audiences, fellow magicians and other performers he met. His first theatre performance was in the Jono the Clown easter show at the Charter Theatre, Preston, 1980.

 

He continued as a semi-pro until 1987, when, due to the amount of bookings he received, had to give up his regular job and became a professional entertainer. This move proved to be very successful! As well as provinging shows for children and families, he also performed to adults as a cabaret magician and provided a close-up magic show. Gary has clocked up thousands of performances as a magician and childrens entertainer and has received numerous plaudits for his shows.

 

During this time he developed his skill in balloon modeling and became very acomplished. Gary can create various models such as; Flowers, Hats, Dogs, Rabbits Giraffe, Parrots, Elephants, Swans, Fish, Rabbits plus numerous other items of interest.

 

Over the last 25 years, Garys career has continued to blossom, he has always been very inovative and has not allowed his shows to go stale or stagnate. He has originated many magical effects and routines and in fact designs and manufactures magical props and creates new illusions and tricks. He is well respected from his professional colleagues and is a member of Equity.
